DAY 10 of keeping on (4/2/15)

i woke up feeling small today. it was the best feeling.
small, as in, i can exist in the new day and the big world, without feeling panicked or worried or rushed or “important” about the million things that creep up my neck, announcing their “needing-to-do-ness.”
on my morning walk, i announce my smallness by looking at the rocks and swans, hearing the river, feeling the cold air.  this puts the rest of the imposing stressors in their right place—they are even smaller than me!
writing to you helps. it helps me realize the things i can do differently, such as make walks a priority, and go for it.
today i did not clean up the kitchen counter that looked at me, messily. not in exchange for the morning walk.
